Staten Island Auto Repair

Brought my car in for an oil change and a knocking sound from the under carriage. The guys were so helpful they inspected the knock and assured me it needed a simple flush. Was so grateful with their honesty that I asked to change the brakes along with a fresh set a tires. Best part Mercedes charges a fortune for wiper blades, island care was able to find a generic brand for a 1/3 of the price. Sending all my Staten Island and Brooklyn residents to these guys. Thanks so much for your hard work!

Living in manhattan it's difficult to get my car serviced at a good rate and good quality. I was referred to Island Car Care from AAA approved repair shop website and seeing that I had to go towards Staten Island I took my car there for service. Had oil changed, brakes changed and control arm bushings. The work was done within one day, dropping the car of in the AM and completed by 6pm. I'm extremely happy with the work and the car feels like new. 2011 LR4 with 80k miles. I highly recommended Island auto care to anyone who needs car service and wants good deal. This shop was great to work with and gave me a great price for all the work.

Sometimes understaffed and not the most inviting lounge to visit when your car is being repaired. No snacks, no coffee. No TV. They have soda fridges...nothing in them. They don't take AMEX cards or probably any cards...so have cash. Staff there are only nice enough to get by...otherwise you're ignored for the most part. Can't speak for the actual repair work there. Inspections are done appropriately and if you fail it, the mechanic will explain the problem. I repair my own car but they did nicely offer to repair it for me...at a slightly overcharged rate...typical of most car repair shops. Unlike the reviews posted...I'm a real person. I'm new to the island and was nervous about finding a new mechanic. I found my place! Everyone was polite and they worked with me to fix my car. They were able to do it the same day. Danny even took the time to show me the parts they removed.

So , here I am on Staten Island in need of a Auto Repair Shop that does good work, not sure of were to go, I turned to Yelp, and saw some really good reviews, so I decided to check out this place for myself. I Spoke to a guy a named Pat who seemed pretty cool and down to earth. After giving me a fair price on a Radiator Flush, I decided to bring the car the next day and at the time he recommended. While the Mechanics were working on the car, Pat let me know of a few concerns and provided me with some options as well as a possible back up plan. in either case he was able to fix the small area of concern with no extra charge, (other places would love to take that opportunity to rip you off) but he Didn't. After the Job was complete, I saw the car and its completed work, as well as the old thermostat which was removed. The work looked clean and professional. While others would say its just a radiator flush, I was looking at the big picture. Reasonably Price, Good work, Friendly, Honest and not to mention its AAA. my point is.... I will be going back again.

This place is great! Not only that their prices are very reasonable they also take care of your car like its their own. The guys who work there and Danny, the owner, are very nice, helpful and very knowledgeable with what they do. That's why my parents and I are at ease to bring our cars to them whenever our vehicles need some repairs and services. They are on point with what the car needs, no BS. So if you're looking for a place to get your car some "tender loving care", this is the right place to go. Take my word for it, they've been taking care of our cars for YEARS and we're very satisfied.

I am a single woman who knows nothing about maintaining cars, and I feel totally confident bringing my car to Danny and the other guys at Island Car Care. I never worry about being ripped off or taken advantage of. I have been bringing my cars to this station since 2008 and have even brought my parents' cars for work. The prices are fair and the work is always done the right way. I take my car on long trips and never worry about breaking down because I know my car is properly cared for and properly monitored by these mechanics. When I have the car in for oil changes, they let me know if I need something done or if I'll need something done at the next oil change. This place is a God send!! I plan to continue coming to this mechanic even if I decide to move off Staten Island. A trustworthy mechanic is someone I'd rather not be without. I highly recommend this business!!!

This place was great. Reasonable prices. Danny was great, very helpful. He gave me a fair estimate and stuck to his word. My car needed some bodywork done and it was done perfectly and my car looked like new. I would highly recommend this place.

Upon getting off Verrazano Bridge, I recently called AAA because I needed a jump. Island car care's towing company; island wide towing, arrived with in 1 hr & 30 minutes. The manager/driver and mechanic that came to my aid was super friendly, knowledgeable, and patient. Turns out I ended up needing a new Alternator and to charge the battery all together and was driven to Island Car care on Bay Street by the mechanic with the aid of an auxiliary battery, they brought along. I met with the manager/owner, Danny, who assured me that my car would be up and running in no time, by next day no later than 5 PM and I can continue on my road trip. The receptionist/ counter girl helped me get a hotel reservatjon and car service. They was great. The FJ Cruiser was ready by noon next day. I can tell they genuinely cares about the quality of service they provide. The next time something goes wrong with my car and I happen to be in the neighborhood, I will be sure to bring it back to him. I can trust that they're honest and know what they're doing.
